Israeli fighter jets attack Hamas weapons depot in southern Syria

The Israeli Air Force (IAF) has carried out a strike on a Hamas weapons depot in southern Syria, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said in a statement.

In a brief statement, the army said the weapons depot was hit in the Deir Ali area in southern Syria, claiming that the weapons were stored to carry out attacks against Israeli targets.

"A short while ago, IAF fighter jets conducted an intelligence-based strike on a weapons storage facility belonging to the Hamas terrorist organization in the area of Deir Ali in southern Syria. The weapons stored inside the facility were intended to be used in attacks on IDF troops," the statement reads.
