US may impose duties of up to 25% against Mexico, China over fentanyl

The United States may impose trade duties up to 25% on imports from Mexico and China, US President Donald Trump said.

"We’re talking about a tariff of 10% on China based on the fact that they’re sending fentanyl to Mexico and Canada," Trump specified.

"Probably February 1 is the date we’re looking at. For Mexico and China, we’re talking about approximately 25%," the US president added when asked when the duties would be imposed.
