The South Korean military registered the launch of several, presumably short range ballistic missiles, from North Korea, Yonhap reported citing the Joint Chiefs of Staff of South Korea.
Previously, the news agency reported a launch of an "unidentified missile" towards the East Sea (Sea of Japan).
North Korea launched its first missile this year on January 6. Back then, it launched its new hypersonic ballistic missile.
Commenting on the successful launch, North Korean Kim Jong Un said back then that the new hypersonic missile was developed in self-defense.
