The European Commission inked a €3 billion partnership with Jordan on Wednesday — part of a broader push geared at shoring up regional governments and paving the way for migrant deportations.
“Our financial and investment package of €3 billion reflects the urgency and scale of the challenges Jordan faces in the region,” said Commission President Ursula von der Leyen in Brussels alongside Jordanian King Abdullah II.
