After five years of intense reconstruction efforts, a grand reopening ceremony will be held on Saturday to mark the return of the Notre-Dame de Paris cathedral before its doors open to the public once again on Sunday.

On Saturday, an opening ceremony is scheduled to begin around 7pm local time with a brief speech by French President Emmanuel Macron.
The first mass in the restored cathedral will be held on Sunday at 10:30am local time.
