Five of Ukraine’s nine operating nuclear reactors have reduced energy output following Russian strikes on the country’s energy facilities, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) said.
"Today, five of Ukraine’s nine operating nuclear reactor units have reduced power output due to renewed attacks on energy infrastructure," the agency stated on the X social media platform.
Earlier, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that the country’s Armed Forces had launched high-precision strikes on the Ukrainian defense industry’s crucial energy facilities in retaliation to an ATACMS missile attack on a military airfield in the city of Taganrog.
On the morning of December 11, the Kiev regime conducted a missile strike on the Taganrog military airfield in Russia’s southern Rostov Region, using high-precision Western weapons. An investigation revealed that the attack had involved six US-made ATACMS ballistic missiles. Russian Presidential Spokesman Peskov said later that Moscow would retaliate against the strike .[TASS]

The strikes targeted sites in western Ukraine, damaging energy facilities in several regions, some seriously. Authorities in Ivano-Frankivsk said it was the worst attack on the region so far.
