The United States and Europe have openly sided with Kiev in the Ukrainian conflict by supplying it with weapons amid a total economic and political struggle in the world, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said.
"By sending weapons [to Kiev] from the very beginning, America and Europe have created a situation when they openly took sides in this war," he told Turkish journalists. "An all-out war, both economic and political, is underway as is a real warfare. To my mind, this is a global war in a broader sense of the word. [Russian President Vladimir] Putin have talked about the risk of a global war. We mean a war in a broad sense of this notion. We have also warned about this. The ongoing war in Ukraine and in the Gaza Strip is widening the global gap and uniting certain players amid intensifying polarization."
He stressed that today "it is vital prevent economic and political confrontation in certain regions of the world from growing into a real war.".
