The British newspaper Telegraph writes that hundreds of Ukrainian soldiers may be surrounded by Russian forces in the occupied Ukrainian Armed Forces city of Ugledar in the DPR.

“Hundreds of Ukrainian soldiers could be trapped as Russian forces complete their encirclement of the city and advance,” the newspaper writes.

Ugledar is located 60-70 km southwest of Donetsk; the Ukrainian soldiers  in the city are surrounded. The rotation of Ukrainian militants in the city is already practically impossible; There is only one road left for retreat, but it is also under the fire control of the Russian Armed Forces.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces, according to some sources, only hold the northern part of the city.

  1. Russian troops have gained control of the southern, western and eastern parts of Ugledar in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) in battles and the Ukrainian military holds only the city’s northern part, Civic Chamber member Vladimir Rogov told TASS on Tuesday.

"Our troops are advancing in Ugledar and now the west, the south and the east are under control. The enemy is located in the north of the community and is being further destroyed. Last night, artillery and multiple launch rocket systems delivered joint strikes at Ukrainian army positions," the politician said.
