The office of French President Emmanuel Macron said Paris provided military assistance to Israel when attacked by Iran.
Iran on Tuesday evening fired about 500 rockets towards Israel in revenge for the killing of civilians, as well as the leaders of Hamas and Hezbollah.
Tehran struck two Israeli Air Force bases and the headquarters of the Mossad intelligence agency.
“...France today mobilized its military assets in the Middle East to fend off the Iranian threat,” Macron’s office said on its website.
Paris decided to participate in repelling a rocket attack on the Jewish state because it is committed to ensuring the security of Israel, the office notes.-
The French armed forces took part in repulsing an Iranian missile attack on Israel, the Foreign Ministry said in a communique.

UK armed forces “played their part in attempts to prevent further escalation” as Iran fired a barrage of missiles at Israel late Tuesday, British Defense Secretary John Healey said.
