The Kremlin on Monday condemned the killing of Hezbollah leader Sayed Hassan Nasrallah in an Israeli airstrike and warned of an escalating risk of a broader Middle East conflict.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov expressed deep concerns, stating that such actions have caused significant destabilization in the region.
"The Russian side condemns such actions; we believe they have led to a significant destabilization of the situation in the region," Peskov told reporters.
He added that the indiscriminate bombing of residential areas in Lebanon by Israel is contributing to a growing humanitarian crisis.
