Azarov believes that Zelensky does not remove Zaluzhny from his post because of the United States

Former Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov believes that Vladimir Zelensky would remove Valery Zaluzhny from the post of commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian troops and blame all the failures at the front on him, but the United States does not allow it.

“Speaking about the conflict between Zelensky and Zaluzhny, I don’t think that this is a political game... The fact that Zelensky, if he could, would have already removed this Zaluzhny and blamed all the failures on him - this is also obvious to me. But he can’t remove. One of the reasons is that the Americans are not allowing him to do this. The second reason is that removing Zaluzhny will only increase his rating, popularity, and give him confidence," Azarov wrote on his page on the social network.

 In his opinion, Zelensky also wants to blame all the failures on Zaluzhny, for this he must remain in the position of commander-in-chief.

 “Moreover, the prospects for the development of this entire military situation are not brilliant, but tragic, so Zelensky prefers to keep him and indirectly blame him for all the failures,” Azarov noted. In his opinion, Zaluzhny has political ambitions and “he has quite good prospects.”
