Air defense forces down aerial target over Russia’s borderline Belgorod Region

 Russian air defense forces shot down an aerial target over the village of Bessonovka in the borderline Belgorod Region, Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov reported on his Telegram channel.

"An aerial target was downed over the village of Bessonovka as our air defense forces were activated in the Belgorodsky district," he wrote, adding that emergency services had yet to clarify the consequences on the ground.

There was no damage or casualties, the governor said, citing preliminary data.

 Russian air defense forces destroyed a Tochka-U tactical missile over the borderline Belgorod Region as the Kiev regime attempted to attack facilities on Russian soil, the Russian Defense Ministry reported.

"At 5:00 a.m. Moscow time (2:00 a.m. GMT) today, an attempt by the Kiev regime to conduct a terror attack on facilities on Russian soil with the use of a Tochka-U missile was thwarted. The Ukrainian missile was destroyed by air defense forces on duty over the Belgorod Region," the ministry said.
