More People in Eastern Qalamoun Join Syrian Army

Tens of young men in the newly-freed town of al-Rahibeh in Eastern Qalamoun joined the army.



The young men of al-Rahibeh will go under military training and will be tasked with military operations for liberating other terrorist-held regions.

Field sources reported last week that 1,000sq/km of Syrian territories were freed by the Syrian army after all terrorists left al-Rahibeh, Jairoud, al-Mansoureh, al-Nasseriyeh and al-Atneh regions in Eastern Qalamoun and al-Batra, al-Qalizeh and Jabal al-Qar heights in the nearby areas.

They added that now security prevails in the road linking Damascus to Syria's Badiyeh region, meaning that no danger threatens the road which links Tehran to Baghdad, Damascus and Beirut.

The sources said that the ground has been prepared for retaking control of Northern Syria, including Idlib, by the Syrian army after the recent achievements.
