Iran Foreign Ministry spokesman on Wednesday urged French police to maintain security for professional activities of reporters and media.
Bahram Qasemi made the remarks criticizing French police measures against the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) press team in Paris.
He expressed regret over the accident happened for the press team, which resulted in injury of the photographer and poisoning of the reporter.
'We do not accept such accidents and expect French officials to make necessary decisions to investigate the issue and to probe into the IRIB team's health condition, he said
The rallies that were held on the occasion of the International Workers’ Day led to conflicts between police and protestors.
Iranian reporter Shahsavar Hosseini and Tohidian the photographer were seriously injured.
