U.S. President Donald Trump told the Japanese prime minister "all options are on the table" following reports of North Korea's failed missile launch.
In a phone call to Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, Trump pledged increased military support, The Guardian reported Thursday.
"[We] agreed that yesterday's missile launch by North Korea was a dangerous provocative act and a grave threat to security," Abe said. "I told him that Japan is watching closely how China will cope with this North Korean issue."
The prime minister added, "President Trump then made a strong remark, saying all options are on the table."
