A very measured step: 'We Are Prepared to Do More'

The administration of President Donald Trump is ready to take further military action in Syria, but hopes it will not be necessary, US Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley said at a UN Security Council meeting on Friday.

"The United States took a very measured step last night," Haley stated, referring to missile strikes the United States undertook against an airbase in Syria on Thursday.

 "We are prepared to do more, but we hope that will not be necessary."
