Iraq has not made any official requests to Russia to start a military operation on its territory, Russian Foreign Ministry’s official spokesperson Maria Zakharova said on Thursday.
"Concerning Iraq’s statements about the participation of Russian Aerospace Defense Forces [in a military operation] on the territory of this country, Russia received no official requests about this," Zakharova said adding that US reaction to "decisions of sovereign countries" is surprising.
