Kremlin is hopeful that the leaders of France and Germany have seen encouraging moments in the Russian President Vladimir Putin’s latest initiatives in regard to resolving the crisis in Ukraine.
"I do not know if the plan exists in the written form, but it was mentioned that there is a certain plan which Hollande and Merkel will discuss first in Kiev and then will share some of their ideas in Moscow tomorrow," Ushakov said.
"I do not know what kind of the plan it is but I hope it will pay due consideration to a great deal of our proposals, in particular integrated ones, put forward by our president in recent days," the presidential aide said.

ReplyDeleteDiscussing renewed fighting in the eastern Lugansk and Donetsk regions with the French and German leaders, Ukrainian President Pyotr Poroshenko came out for a peaceful settlement in Donbass, the press service of the Ukrainian president reported after five-hour talks late on Thursday.
"The three leaders urged an immediate ceasefire," it said. "The parties supported a peaceful settlement of the conflict in the Donetsk and Lugansk regions and expressed hope that Russia was also interested in that," the report said.
The three leaders discussed the pullback of heavy armaments and the release of prisoners, as well as "possibilities for developing a dialogue in the Normandy format (Russia, Ukraine, Germany and France)," the press service said............http://itar-tass.com/en/world/775809
