“An hour ago, Ukraine unilaterally cut off the Crimean Republic and the city of Sevastopol from electricity supply,” Yegorov said. “Talks are underway with Ukraine that they should restore the power supply to the republic,” he added.
Local authorities are taking steps to ensure electricity supplies on at least half of the Black Sea peninsula and provide citizens with mobile communication services, the minister said.
According to the Crimea Inform news agency, now there is no light in any city of the peninsula, including Simferopol, and the backbone lines have been switched off.
The blackout came as the Crimean parliament was expected to hold its last session this year at 12:00pm Moscow time on Wednesday.
The republic’s head Sergey Aksyonov earlier said Russia signed a contract with Ukraine on electric power transit to Crimea on Monday. “The contract will guarantee uninterrupted electric power supply to Crimea from Ukraine,” Aksyonov said.
He expressed hope that the contract terms would be fulfilled in full. “No power cuts are being planned. Payments to Ukraine are made in full,” Aksyonov said.
At present, the peninsula depends on Ukraine at peak times.

ReplyDeleteAm Mittwochvormittag ist die Krim total ohne Strom geblieben: Kiew hat die Stromversorgung der Halbinsel blockiert. Als Grund gab Kiew an, die Krim habe die Limits für den Stromverbrauch überschritten.
In der Krim-Hauptstadt Simferopol sowie in anderen Städten der Schwarzmeer-Halbinsel blieben die Wohn- und Amtsgebäude ohne Licht. Die Ampeln sowie die Straßenbahnen und O-Busse fielen aus. Mobiltelefone funktionierten mit Störungen.

ReplyDeleteDie Ukraine hat die Krim erneut von der Energieversorgung völlig abgeschnitten. Das ist bereits der zweite Blackout auf der russischen Schwarzmeerhalbinsel in dieser Woche.
Die Stromversorgung sei am Freitagnachmittag ohne Vorwarnung vollständig abgeschaltet worden, meldete die Nachrichtenagentur Kryminform. Alle Ortschaften der Halbinsel seien ohne Strom; Telefon und alle anderen Kommunikationskanäle funktionieren nicht. Zuletzt hatte die Ukraine am 24. Dezember der Krim den Strom abgeschaltet. Delete“Most consumers in Crimea will be connected to the Kakhovka-Dzhankoi power line in the next 30-60 minutes,” the minister went on to say.
Yegorov said that mobile gas turbine electric power stations will continue operation under any scenario. That will help regulating the load in the power grid, he explained.
Crimea’s power grid had received 250 MW of electric energy by 05:30pm Moscow time.
