"Representatives of various youth groups plan to hold mass demonstrations in Prague on Monday to protest against the policy and certain statements made by President of the Czech Republic Milos Zeman and to hand him a letter demanding his resignation," the newspaper reported on its website Saturday.
On Friday, spokesperson for Czech Radio Jiri Hosna told RIA Novosti that Zeman could be banned from speaking live on the radio because of his recent use of swearwords on air.
During a November 2 interview with Radio Praha, the president used swearwords while translating the name of the Russian band Pussy Riot.
Radio Praha is reported to be behind a public outrage at Zeman, because of his policy with regard to Ukraine and China.
On November 17, during his interview with the Russian Channel One, Zeman said that what is happening in Ukraine is simply a civil war and spoke against the sanctions that have been imposed against Russia by the West over its alleged role in the Ukrainian crisis.
Zeman is also pursuing economic and business ties with China, which, according to some Czech media reports, is questioned by the country's citizenry who think that the policy could be fraught with something not yet known to the public.

Environ 500 personnes ont participé à une manifestation pour la démission du président tchèque Milos Zeman hier soir à Prague....
ReplyDeleteLes organisateurs ont remis à la présidence une pétition appropriée, signée, d'après eux, par plus de 100 000 personnes.
Milos Zeman a déclaré, pour sa part, qu'il n'avait pas l'intention de démissionner, mais qu'il était prêt à recevoir la pétition.
Ces deux dernières semaines des protestations ont été organisées dans plusieurs villes tchèques contre les déclarations pro-russes du président sur la situation en Ukraine et les insultes grossières qu'il a proférées à la radio à l'encontre du groupe scandaleux Pussy Riot.

ReplyDeleteTschechiens Präsident Milos Zeman, der wegen seiner Haltung zum Ukraine-Konflikt bereits Kritik aus Kiew geerntet hat, bezeichnet den ukrainischen Regierungschef Arsenij Jazenjuk als „Premierminister des Krieges“ und als Gegner einer friedlichen Lösung des Donbass-Konfliktes.
„Aus Äußerungen von Premier Jazenjuk schließe ich, dass er eher ein ‘Premier des Krieges’ ist, denn er sperrt sich gegen die friedliche Lösung, die die EU-Kommission empfiehlt, und will das Problem mit Gewalt lösen“, sagte Zeman in einem Interview der Zeitung Pravo (Samstag-Ausgabe). Die jetzige Politik der Ukraine hat laut Zeman „zwei Gesichter“.
