The head of the parliament of the Lugansk People's Republic (LPR), Alexei Karyakin, has said that the Lugansk-based militia ceased fire before June 27....
ReplyDelete"An agreement has been reached during a consultative meeting in Donetsk that any military operations and movement of armored vehicles and live force will cease before 10 am June 27," Karyakin told a press conference on Tuesday.
"Our side did not open fire - we honestly honor our agreements. We also canceled military operations. But we can see that our adversary is not honoring the conditions that were stipulated. Today, an armed attack was carried out against the village of Privolye, a power substation demolished at the Privolnenskaya coal mine, a woman was killed and many civilians injured - the strike was carried out primarily against civilian infrastructure and businesses," Karyakin said.
"To achieve peace we have started swapping prisoners. Yesterday we handed one prisoner over to the Ukrainian side, and are hoping for action in response," Karyakin added, Interfax reports.
