.......G. MELNIK: Κύριε Υπουργέ, εσείς μιλάτε για το σεβασμό του Διεθνούς Δικαίου. Εσείς νομίζετε ότι η υποστήριξη από την Ευρωπαϊκή Ένωση των διαδηλώσεων ήταν με σεβασμό του Δικαίου ή όχι;
ΕΥ. ΒΕΝΙΖΕΛΟΣ: Δεν υπήρξε καμία απόφαση της Ευρωπαϊκής Ένωσης να υποστηριχθούν οι διαδηλώσεις.
Η απόφαση της Ευρωπαϊκής Ένωσης αφορούσε τον σεβασμό της δημοκρατίας, της συναίνεσης και των ανθρωπίνων δικαιωμάτων. Η ίδια απόφαση που ίσχυε πριν, ισχύει και τώρα. Η ίδια απόφαση που ίσχυε για την Ουκρανία, ισχύει για οποιαδήποτε χώρα. Είναι μια πολιτική αρχών. Υπάρχουν χώρες της Ευρωπαϊκής Ένωσης οι οποίες εκφράστηκαν και μπορεί να είχαμε και επισκέψεις, μπορεί να είχαμε δηλώσεις, αλλά η ευρωπαϊκή πολιτική είναι αυτή που σας λέω.
G. MELNIK: Συγνώμη, αλλά η κα Ashton και η κα Nuland πήραν μέρος στις διαδηλώσεις.
ΕΥ. ΒΕΝΙΖΕΛΟΣ: Θα μου επιτρέψετε να μην σχολιάσω ούτε την κα Nuland, ούτε κανέναν άλλον. Η κα Ashton, ως Ύπατη Εκπρόσωπος της Ευρωπαϊκής Ένωσης, δεν πήρε μέρος σε καμία διαδήλωση. Επισκέφτηκε την Ουκρανία, το Κίεβο, κατά τη διάρκεια της έντασης και των γεγονότων στο Μεϊντάν, αλλά δεν πήρε μέρος σε καμία διαδήλωση.
G. MELNIK: Επισκέφθηκε τις διαδηλώσεις. Γιατί σας είπα ότι η κα Ashton έκανε διανομή των δισκετών και θα ήθελα να ξέρω τη θέση της Ελλάδας για τη συμμετοχή των ακροδεξιών δυνάμεων ….
ΕΥ. ΒΕΝΙΖΕΛΟΣ: Είπα προηγουμένως. Κοιτάξτε, πρέπει να ξεπεράσουμε την ένταση και είχα την ευκαιρία και στις συνομιλίες τις τηλεφωνικές με τον κ. Lavrov να πω ότι πίστη μας είναι πως ο διάλογος, η διαβούλευση, η εφαρμογή του Διεθνούς Δικαίου θα δώσουν τη λύση. Russian FM: Western Support for Ukrainian Protests a 'Bad Example' ...
ReplyDeleteRussian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov says the West set a "bad example" by supporting Ukrainian protesters that Russia has accused of an "unconstitutional" coup.
Lavrov spoke Wednesday in Madrid alongside his Spanish counterpart, José Manuel García-Margallo. Lavrov is meeting U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry later in the day in Paris, where both officials will be attending a conference on Lebanon.
Western leaders have been calling for a de-escalation of tensions sparked when Russian forces moved into Ukraine's Crimean peninsula late last week. The West has suggested the crisis could be resolved if Russia pulls back its forces to their bases on the Black Sea peninsula and allows in international monitors.
But Lavrov said Wednesday that Russia cannot order pro-Russian armed forces in Crimea, which he described as "self defense" forces, back to bases, because they are not Russian forces. He said Russia's Black Sea fleet personnel are in their normal positions.

EU offers €11 billion euro aid plan to Ukraine....
ReplyDeleteThe European Commission has promised Ukraine €11 billion in aid up to 2017 on the condition it agrees to sign an association and free trade agreement with the EU and meets all conditions of the IMF, European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso said in Brussels, as he presented an urgently drafted European aid package for Ukraine on Wednesday.

Kiev snipers hired by Maidan leaders - leaked EU's Ashton phone tape....
ReplyDeleteThe snipers who shot at protesters and police in Kiev were allegedly hired by Maidan leaders, according to a leaked phone conversation between the EU foreign affairs chief Catherine Ashton and Estonian foreign affairs minister, which has emerged online.
The call took place after Estonia’s Foreign Minister Urmas Paet visited Kiev on February 25 at the peak of clashes between the pro-EU protesters and security forces in the Ukrainian capital.
The file was reportedly uploaded to the web by officers of Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) loyal to ousted President Viktor Yanukovich who hacked Paet’s and Ashton’s phones.
“There is now stronger and stronger understanding that behind the snipers, it was not Yanukovich, but it was somebody from the new coalition,” Paet said during the conversation.
“I think we do want to investigate. I mean, I didn’t pick that up, that’s interesting. Gosh,” Ashton answered.
